Gorgeous low planter by Clement Massier, famed French ceramist (1844 to 1917). Unsure of the exact date when it was produced, likely turn of the century. It features a spectacular finish with a range of colors, from cranberry to purple to cream, and hints of turquoise peeping through especially on the bottom. This frilly low jardiniere has two handles quintessential of the era it was made. Take home a piece of history today with this Massier ceramic piece!

Condition:
Some crazing on interior bottom of piece. One chip on underside of handle. One chip on the top interior, about 1/4 inch long, in photo with measuring tape. Interior facing but somewhat visible from the exterior of the piece. Priced accordingly. This is typical of his works, ones that are totally pristine are museum-quality.
