This piece is seriously one of my favorites. It's a beautiful optical glass, with a gorgeous pedestal, very emblematic of the 1930's and 1940's. Kind of a trumpet vase style, but not as tapered as traditional trumpet vases. Although it has a beautiful taper meeting at the smaller cylinder, stacked on the larger one, constituting the base. This beauty is tall! Just about a foot tall, and just over 3lbs. It is hefty and can hold up to your most audacious, vibrant arrangements.
No seams, so it's not pressed. The vessel itself might be blown glass, it's not entirely clear.
